I just watched the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony (which I downloaded) from start to finish because someone on Facebook told me there was roller derby girls in it. I watched it all and there was only one creepy character on roller skates. That’s it.

Brilliant stuff! Can’t tell you how many derby girls I know who have been skating a year+ and they still don’t know how to clean their bearings cos they let other people do it or they have been procrastinating about doing it for that long. CLEAN YO BEARINGS people!

I was at my physio going over the daily exercises I need to do to strengthen my core and I mentioned how we are turning left all the time in derby that most pro derby gals left thigh is bigger in diameter than their right thigh, and they try to work on their weak leg at the gym.
