Brilliant stuff! Can’t tell you how many derby girls I know who have been skating a year+ and they still don’t know how to clean their bearings cos they let other people do it or they have been procrastinating about doing it for that long. CLEAN YO BEARINGS people!

I freakin’ jumped the apex today! How in the hell?! The best part is I had no idea I did it. It was pretty cool…once someone told me I did it. I feel pretty awesome about it.
Only one more practice until Bout Day. Eep! I’m pretty nervous… but also very excited! I finally got myself some new knee pads, which helped lower my anxiety about the bout greatly. Now I just gotta work on a boutfit….

Day 2 of derby bruise after my first bout! The best part is that I got this baby BEFORE the game! I was just warming up. Oh and her name is Betty.

It’s like an MMORPG’s patch notes. Ugh.
I mean, not as bad as it used to be, but for a while there, every three months and there was a new rule set. Drove me nuts!
Yup and that’s why I’ve procrastinated about learning the rules cos I knew there was a rule change coming. I didn’t want to confuse myself. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! The new rules haven’t come out yet have they? Have they? Have THEY? GAH!
